Femi Implements Cloud-Based Backup and Disaster Recovery for Office 365 and CRM Systems Using Commvault Cloud

Femi, Israel’s leading provider of digital health services, has successfully completed a project to implement a cloud-based data protection, backup, and disaster recovery system with the support of We-Ankor. The project is based on Metallic, Commvault’s SaaS backup solution and a core component of the Commvault Cloud Cyber Resilience Platform.

Safeguarding SaaS Applications in the Cloud

The Metallic solution will provide Femi with comprehensive data protection, backup, and disaster recovery capabilities for its SaaS applications, including Microsoft Office 365 (Exchange, calendars, contacts, Teams, OneDrive, SharePoint) and Dynamics CRM Online, which powers the company’s national school health program and operates on Microsoft Azure.

Recently, Femi migrated hundreds of users to Office 365 under a SaaS model, hosted in Azure through We-Ankor. In parallel, the company deployed a new CRM system based on Dynamics, also in Azure. Femi sought a robust data protection solution focused on ransomware defense, cybersecurity, and data loss prevention, tailored to cloud application environments.

“The project’s goal was to ensure full protection of our data and systems while enabling fast backup and disaster recovery,” said Bentsi Ashkenazi, Femi’s Infrastructure Manager.
“We chose Metallic by Commvault after a successful pilot that demonstrated its ideal mix of high performance, rapid recovery, and scalability for future growth. The implementation by We-Ankor, part of the Hilan Group, was fast and seamless. The interface is user-friendly, and our tests showed that mailbox recovery was extremely quick.”

Ashkenazi added:

“Metallic supports a broad range of SaaS applications, and we plan to expand our use of it to additional cloud systems. We were very impressed by the professionalism of Commvault’s team in Israel and the expertise of We-Ankor, which has been supporting our infrastructure needs for many years.”

Supporting a Critical Sector with Trusted Solutions

According to Dafna Aharonion, Account Manager at We-Ankor:

“As a company operating in the healthcare sector, Femi must rely on the most trustworthy and advanced solutions. After a thorough evaluation of the market, Femi selected Commvault’s Metallic as its core cloud protection platform. Its intuitive interface, fast backups, and strong ransomware defense allow Femi to ensure business continuity and data security in any scenario.
The deployment was short and efficient, and Femi’s team quickly mastered the system and its benefits.”

Noga Sahar, Sales Manager for the Industrial & High-Tech Sector at Commvault Israel, added:

“Commvault Cloud is the most resilient, powerful, and reliable platform for data backup and achieving cyber resilience. It ensures high-performance data protection and fast recovery when needed. We’re proud that Metallic now serves as the foundation of Femi’s cloud application protection, and we look forward to supporting their future expansion in the cloud.”
